Android Automotive OS is transforming how millions interact with their vehicles daily, with major automakers like GM, Ford, and Volvo adopting this platform. This Short Course was created to help Software Development professionals accomplish building production-ready infotainment applications that meet automotive safety standards. By completing this course, you'll be able to architect AAOS apps that integrate seamlessly with vehicle systems while ensuring driver safety compliance. By the end of this course, you will be able to: Understand Android Automotive system architecture to describe the roles of System UI, car services, and Vehicle HAL in infotainment stacks, Apply Car App Library templates to integrate a media playbook app that conforms to driver-distraction guidelines, and Apply emulator or device deployment steps to install and test an AAOS application using appropriate manifest and permission settings. This course is unique because it provides hands-on experience with real Vehicle HAL integration and teaches both GAS and non-GAS implementation approaches across multiple OEM platforms. To be successful in this project, you should have a background in Android development and familiarity with Android Studio.
